CBAM
Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)
CBAM is a European regulation that ensures that CO₂ emissions are also taken into account for imported products. The rules have been fully in effect since January 1, 2026. This means that companies importing CO₂-intensive goods must demonstrate and report correctly on their emissions.
What does this mean for your organization?
You must record and report the CO₂ emissions associated with your import flows. If this is not done properly, you may face fines, delays, or additional costs.
Good preparation helps limit risks and can contribute to lower costs and a more sustainable supply chain.
Our partner, Hulsman & Partners, helps organizations comply with the CBAM regulations step by step. They provide support in areas such as:
Gaining insight: which products and suppliers fall under CBAM and what the consequences are
Data and reporting: establishing clear and reliable processes
Registration and coordination: guidance on CBAM procedures and contacting the appropriate authorities
Strategic advice: controlling costs and increasing transparency throughout the supply chain
Would you like a short, no-obligation consultation so they can assess your situation and provide clear, immediate advice on the next steps?
